Regardless of any wind-back of the Covid mandates, the powers that be must ensure that their power structures remain intact for the next round. Covid may have failed as the mechanism to implement the Great Reset, but another crisis will be manufactured to take this agenda forward. It is essential therefore that the power of the state be protected from the people. On Friday 11th February 2022, a state of emergency was declared in Ottowa in an effort to crush the protests.
This was inevitable. The government must save face in order to retain narrative control. However, this is something the regime cannot achieve without resort to violence and oppression, which is itself fatal to their narrative. It could be achieved if the protests were 'fringe' but they are now mainstream and cannot be suppressed.
Compare the demeanor of Ontario Premier, Doug Ford (first video link), and protest spokesman, Pat King (second video link). One is sweating bullets and the other is cool and confident. The protests and blockade are having their effect, costing the regime and its backers millions of dollars a day. The pressure on the regime rises.
Update 22 Feb 2022 - subsequent to Trudeau's draconian "emergency" crackdown it's notable the video of Ontario Premier, Doug Ford, has been removed. What does that say? Certainly not that the government side is confident.
GiveSendGo
After the Canadian govermnent forced GoFundMe to shut down and seize the funds donated to the trucker protest, Christian fundraising website, GiveSendGo, stepped in as fundraiser. The Trudeau regime moved immediately to block this move. The premier of Ontario announced on Friday, "The Attorney General brought an application in the Superior Court of Justice for an order pursuant to section 490.8 of the Criminal Code prohibiting any person from disposing of, or otherwise dealing with, in any manner whatsoever, any and all monetary donations made through the Freedom Convoy 2022 and Adopt-a-Trucker campaign pages on the GiveSendGo online fundraising platform. This afternoon, the order was issued. It binds any and all parties with possession or control over these donations."
Unlike GoFundMe, GiveSendGo responded firmly:
It is great to see a company standing up for their legal rights and refusing to bend to unlawful threats.
Lots of things are happening behind the scenes and this is a dynamically evolving story.
